Hello there, wonderful people! Get ready for some exciting news because Memphis Weirdos has just had a fabulous transformation that you won’t want to miss. If you haven’t already checked out our homepage, you’re in for a treat with the introduction of two fantastic new places: “A World Away Pirate Radio” and the “Memphis Weirdos Community.” Let’s start off by exploring the community. While it may be a bit quiet right now, it’s the perfect opportunity for you to jump in and bring the energy. Remember those old-school message boards? Well, this is like that, but with a modern twist. Join in, have some fun, and let’s hang out without any pesky algorithms getting in the way. And just a friendly reminder – play nice, or the moderator might need to gently remind you. Let’s keep it positive and enjoy ourselves! Now onto the second piece of fantastic news – the arrival of A World Away Pirate Radio! My wonderful friend Jimi Inc is the creative force behind this amazing show, and it’s truly the most innovative piece of internet radio coming out of Memphis today. I was honored when he agreed to let Memphis Weirdos feature it. You absolutely must give it a listen.
That’s the scoop for now! There are a few more exciting developments on the horizon, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated. Your support means the world to me, and I’m really looking forward to connecting with you in the community.

  • Looking ahead

Later this evening, the playlist for todays broadcast will come out and if there aren’t any technical issues, a stream of the broadcast will be available. After today, streams are going away and the shortwave broadcasts will be just that, actual broadcasts. When I started broadcasting my friend Debi suggested I stream as well. It was easier to raise money for the show if people in Memphis could hear it. But the truth is, Memphis Weirdos isn’t produced for a Memphis audience, it is produced for an international audience via shortwave radio. So, I am returning to shortwave only, after today. When time permits, I will get back to the podcasts, which will be streamed. And I’ve got some great guests lined up for that.
